Draft Programmatic EIS Public Meetings

Public meetings on the Draft Oil Shale and Tar Sands Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) were held during February 2008.

Informal open house style public meetings on the Draft PEIS were held during February 2008. Open houses were held in Salt Lake City, Price, and Vernal, UT; Rock Springs and Cheyenne, WY; and, Rifle, Meeker, and Denver, CO at the dates and times listed below.

These meetings were conducted in an Open House format which allowed individuals to ask questions regarding the Draft PEIS of the BLM and Argonne National Laboratory staff that were present. Comments on the PEIS are being accepted via the project website and U.S. Mail. See Getting Involved for instructions on suvbmitting comments on the Draft PEIS.
